MINUTES FROM SPECIAL MEETING - 4/16/01

There was a special emergency meeting of the Hamburg Borough Council held this evening at the Hamburg Municipal Center with President Richard Boyd presiding. The meeting was to discuss possible litigation in regards to the Hamburg Area High School renovation project.

Members Absent – None

Also Present – Lynda G. Albright, Borough Manager

Visitors – Greg Unger (Systems Design Engineering), Gary Reeser ( Systems Design Engineering), Joseph Antanavage, Esq., Robert Saunders (Quad 3), Ted Hendry (Quad 3), Jack Boran, Brooke Adams, Larry Ernst, John Driscoll, Kathleen Conley, Rita Jurgielewicz, Ron Kunkel, Jean Boyd, Dr. Charles Miller

Council President Boyd brought both Council members and School Board members up to date on the homecoming celebration activities for Navy Lt. Marcia Sonon.

An executive session was called at 7:40 p.m. to discuss possible litigation in regards to the Hamburg Area High School renovation project.

Meeting reconvened at 9:25 p.m.

A motion was made by Jeanette Heckman and seconded by Leon Balthaser to lift the present stop work order in anticipation of the receipt of a hold harmless agreement from the Hamburg Area School District concerning the design of the new bathroom facility. And that the Hamburg Area High School shall open its facilities to the levels indicated in the July 13, 1999 memo, when it is anticipated that the attendance at an event shall exceed 900. Also in a prompt manner, a full construction permit be issued by the building inspector to complete all remaining facilities at the Hamburg Area High School.
