MINUTES FROM THE APRIL 28, 2003 MEETING OF THE REC BOARD

The first order of business at the regular meeting of the Hamburg Recreation Board was reorganization. MEMBERS PRESENT – Anna Heffner, Scott Kreider, Mike Stasulli, Tina Yoder.

ALSO PRESENT – Lynda Albright-Borough Manager, June Hilbert-Recreation Director, Lynn Ernst-Secretary

Borough Manager Lynda Albright called for nominations for president. Anna Heffner nominated Scott Kreider, seconded by Tina Yoder. Scott nominated Anna for vice-president, seconded by Tina Yoder. Motions carried. Scott accepted the office of president; Anna accepted the vice-president position. Scott then called the meeting to order. He welcomed new members Tina Yoder and Michael Stasulli. Anna made a motion, seconded by Mike Stasulli, to accept the secretary’s report. Motion passed.

BOROUGH MANAGER – Lynda reported that the pool has again been repaired, and they have begun to fill it. Don Snyder from Spotts, Stevens and McCoy did a visual inspection and said the pool looked good. The stockade fence at the tot lot is being erected at the present time.

RECREATION DIRECTOR – June reported that the baseball schedules have been completed. May 17 is orientation for the park and pool employees. The pool will open May 24, Memorial Day weekend. The operating hours thereafter will be evenings from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and weekends until the schools are closed.

OLD BUSINESS – Now that some of the board vacancies have been filled, it was decided that the five year plan will be reviewed at the next meeting. The board will meet at the park bandshell on Tuesday, June 3, at 6:00 PM for a walk-through to update the list.

The next meeting will be held Monday, June 2, at 7:00 PM. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:45PM on motion of Mike Stasulli, seconded by Anna Heffner.
